Tom Villalon came by the Luna Sandal shop today. He's been running 100+ mile weeks in his Luna Sandals. He made his pair out of 6mm Cherry material...and it is amazing how they have transformed his running and his life. Awesome story. Thanks Tom.
I am testing out my latest batch of Luna Sandals...huarache running sandals, the sandals I have been making and selling ever since my trip down to the Copper Canyon in 2006. If you've read the book Born to Run, you know why I've named these sandal Luna Sandals.

Out for a run in my huaraches yesterday and I run into this guy wearing Vibram FiveFingers on the Blaine St. stairs in Seattle. Turns out he is a really fast stair climber...and turns out a lot of stair climbers are wearing FiveFingers or going barefoot. That is cool!
In this video Kevin sets the Blaine St. stair climb record: 1 minute 4 seconds. Wow!

I continue to test my RunAmocs...and loving them. Room for improvements, but definitely a good option for minimalist runners looking for barefoot feel with some protection from the surface and the elements. Made in USA. I strongly endorse them.

I tested for the first time the RunAmoc and loved it. These are made in Corvallis, Oregon. Made in a solar powered workshop by nice people with sustainable materials at a reasonable price. Love'em. BFT

This is one of the finest company vehicles out there. 1971 Columbia Sports III with Sturmey-Archer model AW 3-Speed hub and some awesome Wald metal baskets front and back. I changed the original Good Year tires. Fine machine. Great for Post Office runs, package pick-ups, grocery shopping and urban foraging.
Riding my highwheel bicycle in Volunteer Park on a beautiful, sunny winter day in Seattle. Part of my training for an attempt to complete an Ironman as-if it were 1890.
Still looking for sponsors.
